Pressure due to h cm of oil + pressure due to (20−h) cm of mercury = pressure due to 20 cm of liquid.
i.e. ρogh+ρmg (20−h)=ρLg (20)
⇒0.9×g×h+13.6×g×(20−h)=1.6×g×20
⇒0.9h+272−13.6h=32
⇒12.7h=240
∴h=24012.7=18.9 cm
