Step 1 : Finding the simplest form of both the ratios

Ratio of 15 to 45 $=\frac{15}{45}=\frac{15÷15}{45÷15}=\frac{1}{3}=\mathbf{1}\mathbf{}\mathbf{:}\mathbf{}\mathbf{3}$

Ratio of 75 to 125 $=\frac{75}{125}=\frac{75÷25}{125÷25}=\frac{3}{5}=\mathbf{3}\mathbf{}\mathbf{:}\mathbf{}\mathbf{5}$

Step 2 : Comparing both the ratios

Since, 1 : 3 $\ne$ 3 : 5

Hence, 15, 45, 75, 125 are not in proportion.
