As per question the ordinate is 2 times the abscissa

i.e $x+2y=6$

$2y=6-x$

$y=\frac{6-x}{2}$

If $x=4$

then,

$y=\frac{6-4}{2}$

$y=\frac{2}{2}$

$y=1$
