As the loaded beam is stationery upward and downward for us should balance each other
Thus, R+R′=40+60=100kN - (1)
Now the force applied by the beam will be equally distributed among the two supports and the hence the reaction force by the two support will also be equal, i.e, R=R′
from (1)
2R=100kN
→R=50kN
Hence the reaction at support A and B will be equal to 50kN each.
