Drawing free body diagram of the loaded beam.
As the loaded beam is stationery upward and downward for us should balance each other
Thus, R+R=40+60=100 kN - (1)
Now the force applied by the beam will be equally distributed among the two supports and the hence the reaction force by the two support will also be equal, i.e, R=R
from (1)
2R=100 kN
R=50 kN
Hence the reaction at support A and B will be equal to 50 kN each.
