Given that, kinetic energy, K.E = 1.6×106erg

1 erg is equal to one gram centimetre-squared per second-squared (gcm2/s2).

Also, E=hν=hcλ where λ = wavelength.

Putting the values in the above equation,

1.6×106=6.6×1027×3×1010λ

λ=6.6×3×10171.6××106cm

λ=12.4 cm.
