Income tax = ₹8400
Education cess = 2% of ₹8400 = $\frac{2}{100} \times 8400$ = ₹168
Secondary Education cess = 1% of ₹8400 = $\frac{1}{100} \times 8400$ = ₹84
Total that Devankar pays = ₹168 + ₹84 = ₹252
