Let the number be x
When subtracted 12 we get
x12
Multiply by 4, we get
(x12)×4
Adding 25, we get
4(x12)+25
Dividing by 3, we get
(4(x12)+25)÷3
Given that the number is equal to 10
[4(x12)+25]÷3=10
Multiply both sides by 3, we get
[4(x12)+25]÷3×3=10×3
4(x12)+25=30
4x2+25=30
4x=3025+2
4x=7
x=74
