Solution

The correct option is B ADH
A. Anti diuretic hormone (ADH) or Vasopressin is secreted from the posterior part of pituitary gland. This hormone increases reabsorption of water in kidneys and this results in decreased rate of urine production.
B. Antihistamine is a drug used to treat allergic reactions.
C. Glucagon is secreted from alpha cells of islets of Langerhans of pancreas. It increases blood sugar level by stimulating glycogenolysis (i.e. break down of glucose) and gluconeogenesis (synthesis of glucose).
D. Insulin is secreted from the β cells of islets of Langerhans of pancreas. Insulin acts on hepatocytes and adipocytes and increases the uptake of cellular glucose and its utilisation. This leads to movement of glucose to hepatocytes and adipocytes from the blood, thereby resulting in the decreased blood glucose levels.
Diabetes insipidus is a disorder in which there is less secretion of ADH due to which there is less water reabsorption in kidneys. Hence, it can be cured by administration of ADH.
So, the correct answer is 'ADH'.
