1.The substances that are hard and used to rub or scratch other materials which are less hard than them are called abrasives.

2.Diamond(C) a carbon substance, Silicon carbide(SiC) and Silica(SiO2) are he hard inorganic materials due to the close arrangement of particles in them.

3.These are used as abrasives to either cut or rub or smoothen the surface of other material which have less strength than these materials.

Hence, Diamond, silicon carbide and silica can be used as abrasives is a true statement.
