The correct option is B Prolonged diplotene stage in oocytes
The dictyate or dictyotene is a prolonged resting phase in oocytes. It occurs in the stage of meiotic prophase I in ootidogenesis. A lengthened diplotene phase of meiosis observes in oocytes at the time of vitellogenesis. The chromosomes are earlier encountered crossing over can last at this stage for months or years in long-lived species. Meiotic resting phase later starts is called dictyotene and this process continues to exist until it reaches puberty, from each month a couple of primary oocytes through the first meiosis. Only secondary oocytes and one polar body, influence the second meiosis and the successive ovulation. The halting oocytes so developed all month turn into atretic. In the dictyotene stage, the primary oocytes remain and up to menopause.
