Yes, Tansen’s plan worked. When he began to sing, the air became warm, people in the audience were bathed in perspiration and the leaves on the trees dried up and fell to the ground. Flames shot up out of nowhere and lighted the lamps. Just then, the two girls started singing Raga Megh. The rains came down suddenly and saved Tansen’s life.
