Diff between superficial expansion and cubical expansion

Superficial expansion is defined as the process in which when heat is given to any metallic object then the expansion takes place and when this type of expansion takes place in area then it is termed as superficial expansion.

Increase in volume of a solid on heating is cubical expansion.
