1. Mass number is the total number of neutrons and protons present in the nucleus of an atom. The atomic number is the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom. It is also equal to the number of electrons since the atom is electrically neutral.
2. Atomic mass is denoted by A The letter Z is used to represent an atomic number.
3. Atomic mass is mostly measured using atomic mass unit (amu). It has no units.
4. Two elements can have the same atomic mass. Two elements can not have a same atomic number
