Question

Difference between consumer organisation and non governmental organisation

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

it must be noted that both the consumer organisations and non-organisations are the same in terms of their basic objective of protecting and promoting consumer interest.
The only difference being that while consumer organisations work dedicatedly towards the objectives the NGOs may be involved in other social objectives as well.
Some of the important NGOs and consumer organisations in India are Consumer coordination council, Common Cause, Consumer protection council, Mumbai Grahak Panchayat, etc.
