Question

Difference between Equivalent sets and Equal sets.

Open in App
Solution

Any two sets to be equivalent they have to have the same cardinality (i.e., same number of elements), whereas two sets are equal if and only if they have same elements.
{0,1} and {A,B} are equivalent but not equal.
{0,1} and {0,1} are equal and equivalent sets.
