Difference between federal features of India and us?

India has one constitution for the country. The states do not have a separate constitution. In cases of emergency, the centre becomes powerful and all the states have to fall in line. In the US, states have a separate constitution apart from the main US constitution. There is dual citizenship in US.( state and Centre) Unlike India, where there is single citizenship.
