An object starts vibrating under the influence of an external force, the vibration of the object is called forced vibration.
When a frequency of a forced vibration becomes equal to its natural frequency that condition is called resonance.
The difference between forced vibration and resonance are given below

Resonance
1.Force vibration is produced by an external periodic force of any frequency.
1.Resonance is also produced by an external periodic force whose frequency is equal to the natural frequency of the body.
2.The amplitude of vibration is very small.
