Difference between green manure and vermi compost?

• Green manure is a fertilizer where the specific plants are grown and plowed under the soil intentionally to enrich the soil. It is used both domestically and industrially because it nourishes soil by releasing nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus which are great value nutrients for crops. Production or yield of crops can be increased using green manure. It can also be used to prevent soil erosion where the soil is prone to erosion, increases water holding capacity and improves the soil marginally.
  
• Vermicompost is made by decaying or composting vegetable, plants, food and other organic degradable materials using worms like earthworms, white worms etc. The end product of the vermicompost is vermicast obtained by decomposition of the degradable materials by worms. It is known to have water-soluble nutrients, soil conditioning, and nutrient-rich organic fertilizer. It is also popular in both industrial and domestic purposes. Low salinity levels can be generated using vermicompost.
