Question

Difference between LSA, TSA and CSA of volume and surface area other than its full form

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

The lateral surface of an object is the area of all the sides of the object, excluding the area of its base and top.

ā€‹ Total Surface Area is the total area of all the sides of a 3-Dimensional object.
ex- TSA of cylinder include the curved surface area + the two circular faces.

The Curved surface area would only be relevant on a curved shape, such as a cone or a cylinder. The curved surface area of one of these shapes would be the area of the outside of the curved part, NOT the flat end(s).

Surface area and total surface area is same.
