Difference between monocot seeds and dicot seeds.
Monocot seeds: The seeds that contain a single cotyledon are the monocot seeds.
Dicot seeds: The seeds that contain two cotyledons are called dicot seeds.
Monocot seed | Dicot seed |
1. These seeds have endosperm in them. | 1. These seeds do not possess any endosperm. |
2. The food material is within the endosperms and not cotyledon. | 2. The reserve food for the embryo is within the cotyledons. |
