Difference between pollen and pollen grain?

The pollen grains represent the haploid male gametophytes. The pollen grains has apertures that is limited thin walled areas in the exine through which the pollen tube usually emerges during germination. Whereas, pollen is released by the opening of the anther. it is a yellowish powder made up of pollen grains.
