1. Public heath services are run by the government and are available to all people of country. 1. Private health services are run and managed by individual or group of individuals. Large number of doctors run their own private clinics.
2. Public health services are not costly in nature. 2. Private health services are expensive in nature. Everyone cannot afford them.
3. The cleanliness of the public hospitals and health centres is lesser than private hospitals. 3. The cleanliness of the private hospitals is higher.
4. Public health services aim to provide quality healthcare services either free or at a low cost, so that even the poor can seek treatment. 4. Unlike the public health services, in private health facilities, patients have to pay a lot of money for every service that they use.
