The outermost layer which is formed from the integuments is the seed coat.	Fertilized egg forms the embryo which comprises different parts- Plumule, Radicle and Cotyledon.
It protects from the harsh environmental conditions and prevents excess water loss.	Embryo results in the formation of shoot and root system of the plant.
