  2. Embryo is the innermost part of the seed.
Seed coatEmbryo
The outermost layer which is formed from the integuments is the seed coat.Fertilized egg forms the embryo which comprises different parts- Plumule, Radicle and Cotyledon.
It protects from the harsh environmental conditions and prevents excess water loss. Embryo results in the formation of shoot and root system of the plant.
