  • Solids are said to be mixed with solids when they are combined with other solids, liquids, or gases.
  • There is no flow current produced by the mixing of particles.

Liquid mixing:

  • Liquid mixing may be characterized as the blending of different liquids.
  • A flowing current is produced when liquids are mixed together.
  • Liquids have a lesser mixing power than solids.

Differences between solid mixing and liquid mixing:

  • Solids mixing is comparable to mixing low viscosity liquids.
