Question

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "US ENGLISH " AND "BRITISH OR INDIAN ENGLISH "

Open in App
Solution

The difference between US English and UK English is mostly in terms of spellings. For instance, the 'ph' in UK English is written as 'f'' in US English, sulphur, sulfur. In pronunciation, the US English does away with silent consonants, so 'often' would be pronounced as 'of-en' in UK but as 'of-ten' in US.
