Difference between voltage and watt
Volts and Watts are both units of measurement. Volt (V) is the SI derived unit of measurement for voltage. Volts are measured using a voltmeter. Watts (W), on the other hand, is the SI derived unit of measurement for power.
A single volt is defined as “the difference in electric potential across a wire when an electric current of one ampere dissipates one watt of power,” essentially voltage.
A single watt is defined as “the rate at which work is done when an object's velocity is held constant at one meter per second against constant opposing force of one newton.” In terms of electromagnetism, one watt is “the rate at which work is done when one ampere (A) of current flows through an electrical potential difference of one volt (V).”
