Solution

The cells of the Meristematic tissues are capable of dividing or they have the ability to divide to form new cells in a plant.
These Meristmatic tissues in plants have some specialised region where cells actively divides are called Meristems. The meristems occur at the tips of roots and shoots and produce primary tissues are called apical meristems. While, the meristem which occurs between mature tissues is known as intercalary meristem.
