Reverberation and echo both are the phenomena occur due to the reflection of sound from obstacles.
When the reflected sound reaches your ear in less than 0.1 seconds after the original wave is the reverberation. The reflected sound of reverberation combines with your original sound wave to create a prolonged sound. We are not able to distinguish between the reverberated sound and the original sound.
And if the reflected sound takes more than 0.1 second to come, we able to distinguish it from the original sound. This is the echo we hear.
