Tropical evergreen forests Tropical deciduous forests
Tropical evergreen forests are found in the areas receive heavy rainfall throughout the year (more than 200 cm). Tropical Deciduous Forests are found in the regions receiving 100-200 cm of annual rainfall.
Trees in this type of forest donot shed their leaves and appear green throughout the year. Trees in this type of forest do shed their leaves in the dry season to conserve water.
These thick forests are found in the regions near the equator and close to the tropics. Tropical deciduous forests are found in large parts of India, northern Australia, and Central America.
