Extinct species are those species that existed on the surface of earth at some point of time but are no longer present. Endangered species are those which are on the verge of extinction.
Extinct species cannot be rejuvenated.
Example, Dodo, Dinosaurs, Wolly Mammoth etc
An endangered species can be prevented from extinction through various conservation methods.
Example, Tiger, Barasingha etc
