A physical change is a change of state of matter in which no chemical reaction is involved. A chemical change involves a chemical reaction to take place.
Here no new substance is formed except state change. Here new substances are formed.
Physical change is a reversible change Chemical change is an irreversible change
eg: Melting of wax of a candle is a physical change as the molten wax can solidify back. eg: The buning of flame of a candle gives out new substances which cannot be brought back to their original form. Thus it is a chemical change.
