Aluminium is mostly used in automobiles and aeroplanes, bottling and canning industries, building and electrical and other applications.
  • Antimony
Antimony is basically used for flame retardants as well as in ammunition and automotive batteries and is also used in glassmaking as a decolorizing agent.
  • Asbestos
Asbestos is typically used in the manufacture of friction products, asbestos-cement pipes and sheets, roofing and flooring products, paints and caulks, and chemical filters.
  • Basalt
Crushed basalt is mostly used for railroad ballast, and aggregate in highway construction, also used as a major component of asphalt.
  • Barium
Barium is basically used as a heavy additive in oil-well-drilling mud, paints, rubber, plastic, and paper; production of barium chemicals; and also glass manufacturing.
  • Beryllium
Beryllium salts are mostly used in x-ray tubes and as a deoxidizer in bronze metallurgy.
