Different living organisms contain different kind of biological pigments in their body
They can be:

1. Heme containing pigments: Hemoglobin (transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide in animals), Chlorophyll (Photosynthesis in plants)
2. Light emitting pigment: Luciferin (emits light in aquatic animals)

​3. Caretenoids ( provides colour to fruits)
