Gametes Zygotei.The specialised cells produced in sexual reproduction are called gametes, e.g. sperm (male) and ovum (female). iA zygote is the product of the fusion of male gamete and female gamete during sexual reproduction.ii.Gametes are unfertilised reproductive cells.iiZygote is a fertilised egg.iii. No new individuals are formed from gametes.iii New individuals are formed from zygote.
