Acid radical is an ion produced from an acid.Basic radical is an ion produced from a base.
It has a negative charge.It has a positive charge.
They form ‘anions’.They form ‘cations’.
It forms as a result of the removal of a hydrogen ion from an acid.It forms as a result of the removal of a hydroxide ion from a base.
Example of acidic radicals include Cl-, NO3-, SO42- etc.Example of basic radicals include Na+, K+, Ba2+.
