Loop of Henle
It is a hair pin like structure found in the nephrons that runs into the medulla of kidney. It has a descending limb and ascending limb.
The difference between the ascending and descending loop of Henle are as follow:

It is impermeable to water It is permeable to water and hence, allows the reabsorption of water
