Differentiate between axon from dendrites.
Axon:
Axons are single, long, and cylindrical parts of a neuron that are responsible for transmitting the nerve impulse to different body parts.
Dendrites:
Dendrites are finger-like cells that are located at the end of a neuron and are responsible for gathering information that further travels as an electrical impulse to the cell body.

2. Each neuron has only one axon. | 2. Each neuron has many dendrites. |
3. They carry nerve impulses away from the cell body. | 3. They carry nerve impulses towards the cell body. |
4. These are either myelinated or non-myelinated. | 4. These are non-myelinated. |
5. Axons do not have Nissl granules. | 5. Dendrites have Nissl granules. |
