Biotic potential is defined as the inherent capacity of an organism to produce their offspring's under natural conditions. This is the capacity to reproduce by the organism when there are resources available. Whereas carrying capacity is defined as the capacity of environment or an ecosystem to support and sustain a level of population under an ideal set of conditions. This is the capacity of organisms which can be produced without affecting the amount of resources.
