differentiate between capitalism and socialism

Open in App
Solution

The main difference between capitalism and socialism is that under capitalism, means of production are owned by private individuals. On the other hand, in socialism, the government owns much of the means of production. As a result, the role of the government is limited in capitalism. In socialism, the government plays a much larger role in the economy.
