Casual workers Permanent workers
a. Casual workers are generally employed in unorganised sector, in small factories and workshops Permanent workers are employed in organised sector, with a structured organisation, in government offices, factories.
b. They are generally daily wage labourers, who are employed for a specified period of time, with no work in some months of the year They are employed on a permanent basis and hence have job stability and security. They have a regular salary
c. There is no job security and work under terrible working conditions They get medical facility and sick leave
d. They are made to work for long hours and six days a week , with no leave entitlements They have fixed number of leaves which they can avail, also off on Sundays and national holidays
e. They are paid meagre incomes, from which they do their savings. They enjoys the benefit of provident fund, where portion of their salary is saved and they earn interest, After their retirement they are entitled to all the money saved during their tenure.
