Solution

Difference between Combination reaction and decomposition reaction are-

Combination reaction

Decomposition reaction

When two or more substances combine with each other to form a single product is called combination reaction. In a decomposition reaction, complex compound is broken down into two or more simpler compounds.
They are also known as synthesis reaction.A source of energy, such as heat, light, or electricity, is required for most of the decomposition reactions.

For example,

CaO(s)Calciumoxide(Quicklime)+H2O(l)WaterCa(OH)2(aq)Calciumhydroxide(slakedlime)+Heat

For example,2FeSO4(s)FerrousSulphateHeatFe2O3(s)Ferricoxide+SO2(g)Sulphurdioxide+SO3(g)Sulphurtrioxide
