The differences between communicable and non communicable diseases are:

Communicable diseases Non communicable diseases
Communicable diseases can be transferred from one individual to another through contact, air, water, etc. Non communicable diseases are the ones which cannot be transferred from one person to another through contact, air, water, etc.
These are highly infectious and caused by infectious agents like bacteria, viruses, etc. They are non-infectious and not caused by any infectious agent.
These diseases cannot be inherited. These diseases can be inherited.
Example: Common cold, Tuberculosis, AIDS Example: Diabetes, Heart diseases
