Differentiate between direct and indirect election .

In direct election the people choose a candidate from the available options. e.g. In our Lok Sabha elections, through adult franchise people choose their representatives directly.

In in-direct election the elected members further choose the candidates. e.g. The president of India is elected indirectly through an electoral college comprising of elected and nominated members.
