  1. It is the process of expulsion of materials from the cell with the help of a carrier vesicle called an exocytotic vesicle.

Endocytosis:

  1. It is a process whereby the cells absorb materials such as proteins from outside by engulfing them themselves.

It involves the bulk exit of materials from the cell.

It involves the bulk entry of substances from the cell.

Exocytic vesicles attach itself to the plasma membrane and release their contents outside of the cell.

It is carried out by absorbing substances by invagination of plasma membrane.
