Flammable substances are defined as substances that can easily catch fire or it can be set to fire.

Non flammable substances are the ones that are much harder to burn or catch fire. They do not catch fire easily.

Examples:

Gasoline, kerosene, coal, petrol, acetone, ethanol, propane, etc.

Examples:

Brick, stone, glass, water, helium, nitrogen, steel, etc.
