Open in App
Solution

Germination

Vivipary

  • When the embryo in the seed becomes activated and begins to grow into a new plant, then it is known as germination.
  • It nurtures itself by nutrients and then grows into a plant to make its own food and to live and to survive.
  • Vivipary is known as the germination of seed within the fruit, while it is still attached to the parent plant.
  • Seeds cannot develop by themselves as they are not able to adapt themselves to the excessive salt content and lack of O₂
