Solution

Mixture:

  • In chemistry, when two or more substances are mixed without having any chemical change, then the final substance is known as a Mixture.
  • For example a mixture of water and sugar.
Homogeneous mixture:Heterogeneous mixture:
A Homogeneous mixture is a mixture in which the constituents that make up the mixture are evenly distributed throughout the mixture. When we mix two or more components non-uniform composition, that remain separate from each other, that mixture is called a Heterogeneous mixture.

For example, A mixture of salt and water, A mixture of water and sugar,

These mixtures have the same composition of components throughout the mixture so both mixtures are examples of homogeneous mixtures.

For example, A mixture of sand and water, A mixture of cement and water.

These mixtures have a non-uniform composition of components throughout the mixture so both mixtures are examples of a heterogeneous mixture.
