1. The expansion in length observed due to heating of a substance, like rods, is known as Linear expansion. 1. The expansion observed in volume due to heating of a substance is known as cubical expansion.
2. It is observed only in objects that is structured like a rod. 2. It is observed in any substance that is 3 dimensional.
