The temperature at which a solid changes to liquid at one atmospheric pressure is called its melting point.The temperature at which a liquid starts boiling at one atmospheric pressure is called its boiling point.
The higher the force of attraction among the particles of the solid, the higher will be its melting point.The higher the forces of attraction among the particles of the liquid higher will be its boiling point.
On adding impurities to a solid , the melting point decreasesOn adding impurities to a liquid, the boiling point of the liquid increases.
